CCSU Leads the Way in National Educational Accountability Efforts

At the Board of
Trustees meeting on October 4, 2007, a resolution was passed
that the Chancellor initiate a review of two recent incidents
concerning publications in The Recorder
and to prepare a report for the Board containing actions taken to date
and those recommended but not yet acted upon to address these
incidents. This summary includes both sets of actions and adds a third
which includes additional recommendations from many people across
campus. It also contains responses for recommendations for an
additional two related reports. An updated (03.14.08) version of the

CCSU Receives Substantial Gift from Private Donor Anthony Bichum
| | CCSU
has received a substantial endowment gift from Mr. Anthony Bichum, a
lifelong New Britain resident. The gift, made up of a combination of
cash and estate funds, is the largest ever awarded by an individual
donor to CCSU. The funds will be used to establish the Anthony and
Helen G. Bichum Scholarship Fund, named in honor of Bichum and his late
wife, Helen Girovsky Bichum, who passed away in 1984. The fund will
provide scholarships for full-time undergraduate and graduate students
in the CCSU School of Engineering & Technology. More information here. |
